Portrait and photo set in Chianti, Tuscany using a Pentax vintage lens

Posted on Jul 27, 2012

I am always very fascinated by the work of the great photographer Herb Ritts.

His work inspires me ’cause his use of black and white is timeless and the photos are simply and elegance. So I was trying to work with Anna, to get back a bit of the style of that black and white images.

For my shot, however, I was looking for a bit stronger contrast, something that is fitting more my style and taste.

I’ve shot all the session with an old Pentax Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4 on the Samsung Nx-200 mirrorless: the contrast and Bokeh of that lens is something amazing and gives to the black and white an extra boost.

We took this photos in the beautiful Chianti’s area on a nice sunny summer day.
