Florence is a very crowded city during the day and a calm city in the night.
I would not sing as a “city that never sleeps”. Florence in the night sleeps well, so it’s a great occasion to go out and do some unique photos without the usual crowd.
Florence by night, in my opinion, is more beautiful than in the day: you can really walk on the roads, looking at all the world’s most famous monuments and sculpture without having thousands of people all around.
There’s a magic silence and you can breathe the best of the art and let the time pass over the night.
In this situation, I did a nice walk in the city with the brand new Fuji X100s. I want to try the performance of the camera with photos at the maximum Iso level of the camera (Iso 6400).
Well, I should say that the camera passed the test very well! I’ve never seen so clean photos at 6400Iso! When you look at the picture you can also notice how good the Fuji keep the information about the colors! And also focusing is very precise in this very difficult lights situation (even if not very fast)!
I am really amazed at the Fuji x100s camera and the retro style design make the camera looking like a mini Leica!
I suggest you to give a look at the review I did of the Fujifilm X100T after one year and half of usage (with almost 80+ photos!) and the review of the smaller sister of the Fujifilm X100T, the Fujifilm X70:
