For this photoshoot with Alessia, I’ve used the Canon 50mm f/1.2

I want to try this lens for a long time, to see the performance using it at the brighter aperture available. This lens has a maximum aperture of f/1.2 that put it as one of the brightest lens available on the market.

For the photos, we’ve waited the blue hour to get a very nice color in the sky.

The Canon 50mm f/1.2, especially at f/1.2, is a very soft and delicate lens: the lens works quite good in all this portrait and fashion situation.

I’ve to point out and to remember that is very easy to get some images out of focus cause of the very little depth of field using a full frame camera.

In this session, I’ve used the Canon 5d Mk 2.

   I suggest you to give a look at Sigma 50mm lens I’ve tested during a portrait session:
