This 91th edition of Pitti Uomo has been for me quite busy and with big satisfaction. On one side I was asked to take some photos of friends attending the fair (soon their gallery will come on this blog), on the other side I was developing the Instax Pitti project (link) that has been has been published on the official Pitti Immagine organization website and internationally on PetaPixel, Lomography and Digifoto Pro Netherlands.

For the 91th edition of the male fashion fair "Pitti Immagine Uomo" in Florence, i got the idea to use the Fujifilm Instax film to create a little photo project with some of the visitors.

The idea was to photograph the guests with the Instax camera, then to re-photograph them with the digital camera. The Instax film was going to be a gift for the guest while the digital picture has been published on the official website of the Pitti Immagine Uomo organization.

During the last 90th Pitti Uomo in Florence I've developed a photographic project called "#luckymatch" for the Pitti Immagine organization. The project has been pubblished on their official website (here's the link) and now I'm repubblishing it here on my blog. I want to point out that this series has been created as a sort of game where random numbers of the cards given to the person would match another person by casuality. Here are the #luckymatch I've spotted at the last Pitti Uomo event!

This edition of Pitti Uomo has been particularly rich and challenging for me. On the one side I have developed a photo project for Pitti Immagine (published on their website at this link); then I was contacted by the Belgian fashion blogger and influencer Defustel who asked me to follow him photographically during the fair. Was a big pleasure for me 'cause not only he's an icon of style inside the fashion world, then he's also a very kind and positive man!

During the last Pitti Uomo I was contacted by the fashion blogger Sani Starr who needed to take pictures for his blog and website during the famous Florence’s fair. In the two days scheduled for the photos at Pitti Uomo’s fair, Sani wore two different outfits that were perfectly matching with the theme "Pitticolor" of this edition. As for the photos previously proposed, these images were taken trying the Fuji X-T1 and the 35mm f/1.4, used almost always as open as possible. I also tried shooting with the electronic shutter that allows extremely fast shutter speeds (up to 1 / 32,000 sec!), useful when we want to use large apertures (as in my case f/1.4), and we are dealing with a lot of sun light. Again I was extremely surprised and happy (and Sani it was too!) with Fujifilm color output from photos, which were slightly retouched in contrast and white balance using Adobe Lightroom.
